22 Citrus Essential Oil Diffuser Recipes

Citrus essential oils can transport you to a tropical beach, a childhood memory, give you an inner smile that burst through your face, or lift sagging shoulders. And although they smell ah-mazing, they are also a group of essential oils that are extremely therapeutic.

doTERRA has a variety of citrus oils, including Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Tangerine, and Wild Orange. These oils are all derived from the rind of the fruit and share some similar qualities:

  • The most notable similarity between the six citrus essential oils is their ability to affect the emotions. Most of these oils, including Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Tangerine, and Wild Orange can help uplift your mood or your energy levels. On the other hand, Bergamot is calming and soothing to the emotions.

  • The Citrus oils have purifying benefits that make them perfect for household cleaning.

  • Diffuse in the classroom, at work, or at home to provide a refreshing, uplifting, and energizing environment.

  • The Citrus oils can be taken internally to help support a healthy immune system, support digestion and cleanse the body.

Never used a diffuser before?

An essential oil diffuser is essentially a device that breaks essential oils down into smaller molecules, dispersing them into the air for a pleasant or calming effect—depending on the oil that's been put into the diffuser.

There are many different styles, sizes, and features. Here are the main things to consider:

Size

Depending on the size of the room you want to use your diffuser for, size matters.

For a small office or bedroom, you can choose a diffuser that has a water capacity of about 150-200ml, like this one.

For a larger room or living space, you are going to want a larger water capacity of about 250-500ml, like this one.

Portability

Another really popular trend is to use a portable diffuser! I love this Pilot diffuser by doTERRA because as I'm going around the house from my desk to playing with my kids, or even in the car I can just grab this cutie and take it with!

Maintenance

Diffusers are really simple to use! Tou simply add water, essential oils, and turn on to enjoy the multiple aromatherapy benefits!

Cleaning them once a week will help extend the life and prevent build-up of unwanted "stuff".

What Metabolic Tests to Request and How to Decode The Results - The Guide

The 5 Numbers Your Doctor Calls "Normal" — But Aren't Optimal

If you've been told your labs look "fine" but you still feel tired, foggy, and not-quite-right, this is for you.

This free guide shows you:

  • The 5 numbers from one fasting blood draw that reveal insulin resistance — often years before standard markers catch it

  • Exactly which tests to request (most doctors won't offer them unless you ask)

  • What "optimal" actually looks like vs. the lab's wide "normal" range

  • The two free calculations (HOMA-IR and triglyceride-to-HDL ratio) most labs never run for you

No guesswork. No fear tactics. Just the numbers that actually tell the truth about your metabolic health.
