You took your first whiff of an essential oil and now you are hooked.

You've jumped on board the essential oil wagon and you are so excited. You get it. You see why everyone is so gung-ho for them...they are powerful and effective.

But what now? What oils do you use? How do you use them?

I have my essential oils, now what?

You have a couple of things you can do to help educate yourself on the what, where, how, and why of essential oils. I know you probably don't have a lot of extra time in your day to learn a bunch of new info, but I also know that you want to find more natural solutions to care for your family.

One of the most important tools for you and your family to have on hand is a reference guide for essential oils.

My favorite reference guide for essential oils

The Essential Life is my go-to book for many essential oil questions. With beautiful pictures, simple descriptions, DIY recipes, notes on safety and practical use, and guidelines for body systems and focus areas this book covers it all. There is even a chapter with usage guidelines and recipes for using essential oils with children.

It's easy to find the info you need without having to read pages and pages of research. All of that info has been distilled down to short, concise, to the point information for you to digest immediately and put into action.

This book is a great introductory book for any family to start using essential oils in the home. Everything you need to know to begin using your oils ASAP.

Generic blend names translated to doTERRA blend names

When you read books like The Essential Life, the names of essential oil blends are generic. However, in this case, the blends in the book are almost exact equivalents to the proprietary blends by doTERRA.

Read why doTERRA is my essential oil brand of choice and how you can get a monthly Wellness Box, often with some free oils!

For example, when you are reading about the "Anti-Aging blend" in your Essential Life book, you can easily know that this is the same blend called Immortelle by doTERRA.

I've translated all the blend names here so you don't have to!

More Resources to Use

In addition to The Essential Life reference guide for essential oils, you are going to want to further your knowledge of essential oils the more you fall in love with them. Trust me, with pure, high-quality oils, you will fall in love with what they can do for you and your family.

Here are some additional ways to further your education:

  1. Visit doTERRA's website which is oozing with great info on essential oils.

  2. Download the Daily Drop App - it's free! Each day you get "dripped" a new short video training on a particular oil, blend, or method of using essential oils.

  3. Spend some time here on the Essential Oils page! I've created a lot of content here to make using essential oils easy and simple.

  4. If you haven't signed up for your wholesale account yet, book a free 15-minute Wellness Consult with me and learn how essential oils can change your life. I can answer questions and help guide you in which starter kit would suit you and your family best. Contact me here if you want your own personal essential oils coach!
