FAQs

What do I need to participate?

You will need to purchase a CGM out of pocket (insurance only covers it if you have diabetes) and you will need to download the free app that comes with a CGM. I will provide a link for an easy place to get a CGM (without a doctor's prescription) but you are welcome to get it elsewhere.

Are there any negative aspects of wearing a CGM?

No, there are no known physical, mental, or emotional negative aspects of wearing a CGM. 

Can I participate if I live outside the United States of America?

Yes. This program is open to anyone who wants to participate. As long as you have access to getting a CGM you can participate. We give you helpful links to acquire them based on where you live.

I'm not tech-savvy. Will I be able to do this?

Yes! We've designed this program specifically for people who want simple, clear guidance. You get step-by-step videos, tech support, and personal guidance to ensure you're successful regardless of your technical background.

How much time does this require each day?

The CGM works automatically in the background. You'll spend about 5-10 minutes daily reviewing your data and maybe 2-3 minutes logging meals. The program content is designed to fit into busy schedules, and you can consume the educational materials on your own time.

When are the coaching calls?

We offer 2 different times/days to best serve the group. Every call is recorded for replay access as well.

What if I can't attend the live calls?

All live sessions are recorded and available for replay. Plus, you can submit questions ahead of time or in our private community, so you never miss out on getting your specific concerns addressed.

What brand of CGM will we use?

We support the Abbott Lingo, FreeStyle Libre 2/3, Libre 3+, or Stelo. If you don't have a CGM yet, I recommend these options.

What if my insurance doesn't cover a CGM?

It probably won’t, and that’s OK. You have a few options, including the new Dexcom Stelo and Abbott Lingo, which you can order online. We can also help you get a FreeStyle Libre 3 with an online prescription from one of our partners if you choose this route (I will provide you with a special link). Many of our students use an HSA/FSA account for this payment.

Are there discounts?

People who are on the wait list will be the first to hear when registration opens and will be offered an exclusive discount for early registration!!

What is the TOTAL cost of this program including everything I'll have to buy?

So glad you asked! $397 registration (+ additional discounts if applicable) + $99 for 2 CGM sensors (estimate, based on the Stelo sensor) = $496, depending on the price of your CGMs and early registration/waitlist discounts.

What if I'll be on vacation or out of town for part of the program?

No problem. All of the coaching sessions will be recorded and you can always upload your screenshots with questions to our private group feed to get feedback on. This is why I run the class for 5 whole weeks. It gives you a chance to test during a variety of life situations… even vacation!

Can I invite a friend or family member?

Yes, please do! It really is more fun to do with a buddy or partner.

Will it hurt?

No, there is some slight pressure applying the device and maybe a little soreness after but it is mild to nothing.
