Takeaways

Toxins can be found in the things we put in our mouths, items that go on our bodies, and what's around us.

Addressing gut health and overall lifestyle factors is crucial before detoxifying.

Making gradual improvements in reducing toxin exposure is more important than striving for perfection.

Toxin exposure is pervasive, but taking steps to reduce exposure can have a positive impact on health and well-being. Toxins are fat soluble and need to be converted into water soluble compounds by the liver in order to be eliminated from the body.

If the detoxification system is overwhelmed, toxins can be stored in fat, leading to weight gain and other health issues.

Upgrading the quality of food, filtering air and water, managing stress, getting enough rest, and avoiding sugar and alcohol can all support the body's detoxification process.

Supplements like B vitamins, magnesium, and glutathione can also support detoxification.

Detoxification is an ongoing process and it is important to take small steps towards a cleaner lifestyle.

Sound Bites

"Uncovering the hidden toxins that are sabotaging your energy and your health."

"You can't address toxins until you've addressed your gut health and your endocrine system and your overall lifestyle factors."

"Nobody's gonna die if you screw it up and don't be hard on yourself. This is one of those games that you cannot screw up and you can only keep making improvements."

"Your weight is where you want it to be. You feel freaking amazing. You have an amazing sex drive."

"If you say, oh, I have autoimmune disease, any type of cardiovascular or metabolic disease, you can't lose weight, you have a belly, your hair is thinning, you don't sleep properly. If there's really anything wrong, then yes, toxins are an issue."

"99.9% of toxins are fat soluble. If you've ever made salad dressing and you put either oil and vinegar or oil and lemon together, you know that the oil floats on top of the liquid. They don't mix. So that's kind of what happens in your body when you get any toxin."
